almost R14k deposit kept - child not there

After a series of unfortunate events we decided that our daughter would not return to Camelot for her 2nd year of what was a 3 year course as she did not pass her first year on the theory side. We were not aware of this when we paid over a deposit of close to R14k in August last year for year 2 of the course. My child is not in the school anymore &amp; I have now just been informed after weeks of hounding to get my funds back that the amount is not being refunded due to \company policy\". How exactly does this work - I have received no tuition or kit from you to make up the amount of R14k that you are going to keep - I am sure this is not legal. What are you keeping the money for? Why would you not refund me my hard earned money when my daughter is not at your East Rand institution anymore, your teachers/lecturers are not teaching her, she has not received any new kit for year 2 so what are you charging me for?Why would you not refund me?I am definitely not leaving this matter here - I am going to seek legal advise but I just want to warn future parents to think twice before enrolling your child in this college - very sad because the facilities are great.Money mad at the end of the day <div><br></div><div><em>(Supplier name changed from Camelot Spa to Camelot International by Hellopeter.com)</em></div> "
