False pricing

Went to Cambridge today to buy a kettle, I bought a Pineware cordless kettle as advertised on the shelf for R 169.99. I thought I had found a bargain but to my surprise when I got home and opened the box which was Pineware ofcourse there was an Ideas kettle with a cord instead of a Pineware cordless kettle. Even the receipt was recorded as a Pineware cordless kettle but the contents were not as advertised or as I was made to believe. Is this a mistake or is it a deliberate ploy to make people believe they're buying Pineware while there's a different product in the box. I think this is a dubious way to conduct business and highly ********* because there were boxes with Ideas kettle with different pricing than the kettle in the Pineware box, if I wanted an Ideas kettle I would've taken one of those boxes.
