Bad service

I went to cambridge in vosloorus to buy my groceries of which I normally buy from them. We bought for R2900 and we were told to pack in bags ourselves and I asked for the manager and spoke to him and he told us that he is short staffed and I told him that is was not only for that day even the previous month the same thing happened and he apologized and even took him to the till where I was paying he saw my husband packing the groceries and one of the ladies that work there was helping the queues were very long.i dont understand how they open the doors and expect customers to pack their on staff and still expect the business to grow in this economy that we are currently in and still expect the same customers to come back and buy.im asking myself is this done because 100% customers are black and it's in the location. I felt that the manager doesn't care about customer service and turnover only cares about the stores budget and how much he has saved as a store manager .if he cared about customer service and turnover he would want to keep and the customers that come and buy by giving them the best customer service and making sure that we have a easy and memorable experience,but as for me I'm never going back there again if the manager is able to treat customers like nothing.
