The brochure is suggestive at best and misleading at worst. Surely a medical aid should not require people to call in to ask what types of medical procedures fall into the Specialist category or Day-to-Day benefit, the brochure should speak for itself on such matters. As for the Day-to-day benefit limit versus the specialist benefit limit on the Network option, they have lost the plot...I am specifically on the Network option because I am neither sickly nor do I require expensive specialist medical interventions. What is the use of having almost R10k in specialist benefits if I cannot claim chiropractic procedures on it?? I have yet to see the benefits that are commensurate to the thousands I've paid to this medical aid in addition to the amounts I seem to be paying for general GP/Chiropractor/Dentist visits during the year. What an actual joke.
