Unlimited reasons not to pay

I am on the network choice option. I have a knee problem, when I discovered the problem I went to a Dr [the Dr I found on the network GP list on the Camaf website]. This Dr referred me to a biokeneticist. I then went for a few treatments, but stopped because the fund was limited to only a few visits a year. I then wanted to continue with my treatment.

I put in one claim[with re feral Dr on statement and referal letter attached]- the claim information logged said: no referral.

I then queried it, they said the GP is not a network Dr and attached the list of GPs (no further explanation)

I then asked for clarification as I found the Dr on the CAMAF list, I was told that the Dr left CAMAF. Less than 2

I then queried why I was not notified, so that I could see another GP, I was told it is my responsibility to check whether the GP I found on the Camaf list is still a GP registered with CAMAF EVERY SINGLE TIME I choose to see a GP.

I was told it is too much work for CAMAF to notify their Network choice customers when there is an update to the GP list.

I was told that if I get a referral today from a CAMAF GP, and the GP leave tomorrow, if I see the specialist the next day, I will be liable for the cost, therefore even if I have a referral, I need to call in and check if the referral GP is still a GP before I see the specialist. If not I am liable for the claim.

Now I have tried to to keep up with all kinds of radiculous administrative tasks just to ensure that the cover I get promised, I actually receive when I need it. But it gets to the point that it becomes unrealistic. A person sees the same GP, and if I need to get recurrent treatment [like biokeneticist/physiotherapy] then I need to see the same bio concurrently. I can not be asked to check all CAMAFs GP lists, and small print incase anything changed on a random day. I feel it is a way of taking money and not following through on the aggreement. On top of that I need to deal with rude call centre personel who have no intention to verify any information.

I only dealt with one lady that actually took the time to check the system and the information, and then promised that the claim will be paid, if I send the information with the call ref, no. Next day I receive an email from someone else, again with inaccurate information, saying that I am liable.

It is exhausting
