Takes your money but pays for nothing.
Considering the fact that I pay an installment of R1008 a month I find it absolutely ridiculous that you will only pay for R300 to see a specialist.

This is over and above the R200 that I just had to pay for nasal spray, and also the other medication you did not cover.

Moreover I am forced to be on this scheme through my work and do not have the option to choose my own scheme. Trust me if I could I would never choose CAMAF

I was previously on the Discovery Keycare plus plan which is the cheapest plan available. The don`t pay for any medication but at least they are upfront about it.

Now I am sure you are covered so this is all legal, however I do find it extremely immoral.

In which reality do expect to pay only R300 for a specialist doctor, ffs, even a GP charges more.

So for this month I am paying CAMAF R1008 but I still have to pay R800 out of my own pocket, The doctors, the medical aid and the pharmacist all benefit, but at the expense of me the customer.

It is unbelievable and immoral and I hate your company and what it stands for. At least normal ********* are open about the fact that they rob you blind and do not hide behind big contracts and hard to read policies.
Unfortunately doctors may charge any amount, however the medical schemes we are regulated on the amounts in which we can reimburse according to a practice type. This is not only a CAMAF practice but an industry practice and is referred to as the medical aid rate. The rate of reimbur*****t is communicated via our website as well as on the benefit guide that is accessible to each member. Because your option is not a savings option, only the CAMAF base tariff (medical aid rate) would be paid. Should you have been on a savings option, the difference would be covered from your savings. Although providers can charge any amount, we always urge our members to negotiate with their doctors by advising them on their option's rate of reimbur*****t and there are providers who are charging within this rate. Furthermore, the list of doctors within our network for your option as well as the medication covered by your option is available on our website.
