Obtained Hospital Authorisation, Payment Declined

Good day,<br> <br> I obtained Hospital Authorisation for the birth of my son, this is the standard operating procedure that we followed, this authorisation was already obtained when my wife was 3 months pregnant.<br> <br> At around the six month mark we decided to switch to a midwife and not go to a doctor, I phoned CAMAF and obtained confirmation saying that the midwife is covered, and that they will pay for the midwife.<br> <br> However when my son was born, a doctor had to come out due to complications at birth. <br> <br> Now CAMAF is saying that they are only paying the doctor and they are not paying the midwife, due to the fact that the midwifes did not do their job according to them, however the midwifes did perform the required services that is expected of a midwife?<br> <br> All i want to say to any one considering CAMAF, please stay far away, these people do not pay what they say they are going to pay, not withstanding the fact that i claimed almost four weeks ago only to find out that they only processed the claim now and rejected it. They excel in bad service.<br> <br> Thank you CAMAF, for being the worst most **********, zero ethics medical aid in South Africa,
