Keep adding to exclusions when I try to claim
CAMAF is without a doubt the worst medical aid EVER!! When I joined the medical aid, I admitted that I have Familial Cholesterol, which they then excluded for a year. In the last few weeks I got chest pains and palpitations and went to a cardiologist who said Angina and need urgent angiogram. While trying to do pre-authorizations, CAMAF suddenly added my heart to the exclusion list. And this is not the first time they've done this to me this year. They are ******** who think they can play with people's lives. How do you not cover someone's heart? What about PMB's? I have now reported them to the council for medical schemes. And I'm not leaving it there. I'm not letting this go. How many people do they do this to? And when someone dies? Of course that wouldn't matter to them either.
According to your member records, you have joined CAMAF effective 01/04/2015 without previous medical aid cover.
As per the medical schemes act, 12 month condition specific waiting periods are applicable should there be any pre-existing medical conditions.
Please note, the waiting period imposed is related to a current condition specific waiting period which has been communicated to you upon registration with CAMAF.
