Claim submitted but no payment and no feedback
I submitted a claim to Camaf on the 04/12/2015 using their [Email Removed] e-mail address as I have done for previous claims. I found out the ICD10 code was missing from the invoice submitted, which I then re-requested from the Doctor in question. This was provided in the form of a new invoice, which I resubmitted using the above e-mail address on the 06/01/2016.The missing ICD10 code should have been communicated via an e-mail, requesting that the ICD10 code be present on the invoice for payment. I have contacted the contact centre on two occasions in the last 3 weeks to request when the claim would be paid out. On both occasions I was told that the claim had not yet been processed after having told by the claims agent, that the claim will be processed and payment made the following Friday. As today, I am STILL waiting for the claim to be paid out. I was promised a phone call by a claims agent to explain what had transpired and to keep me up to date with the progress of the claim, which surprisingly wasn't done. If this is not resolved asap, I will cancel my medical aid with Camaf and move to Discovery.
Thank for taking our call.
CAMAF communicates claim related matters to all members and practices via statements. We do urge our members to read their statements and where they do not understand, the call centre is available to clarify.
We are please to know that the issue has been attended to.
