CAMAF deviously ******s money out of their clients
When I went on maternity leave, we decided to move the CAMAF membership from me as the main member to my husband. CAMAF was contacted from my company and his and all seemed fine. During the last month of membership on my side, my husband had to undergo an operation. CAMAF was contacted and pre-authorization was granted. Months later I was inundated with doctors bills.Upon querying this all the doctors were told that I needed to contact the medical aid. Eventually Farhad Hartley sent me a hefty bill. Apparently I now owe CAMAF. I would like to know why I was not notified of this from the start that there were cancellation fees and MSA fees. We moved over to the same cover so staying on my name would then have made sense. I I choose to cancel my cellphone contract today, the supplier will immediately tell me how much I need to pay in. Why does CAMAF wait months and if I infact owed them monies why would they pre-authorize a claim? Is this how Sanlam Health ******s money out of their clients? I was a member of CAMAF for over 13 years, I now refuse to be associated with *******. Emailing the staff, face to face or phone calls to CAMAF does not work, they heed not to consumer rights
