Unprofessional Management and lack of communication

I was offered a job at Cam Kids a week before my practical period at Hoërskool Driehoek began. Despite knowing that I needed to complete my practical experience at a high school because I am studying to teach Grades 8-12, they assured me during both interviews that they would not fire me or replace me. I had to beg for a contract so that I could review it, as they promised to provide one by the Friday of our first week, which was meant to be a trial week to see if we could handle and wanted the job.

However, two weeks later, when I showed up just to see if I would receive a contract, they told me they no longer needed my services. They mentioned I would receive my payment on the 31st, but it is now the 6th of August, and I still haven't received anything. The management keeps saying they'll find out about my payment and get back to me, but they never do. During the first week, management was absent more than present at work. They gossip behind everyone's backs and don't care if people know about it. They are extremely unprofessional; one of the supervisors would leave the kids unattended just to go gossip with others about someone.
