Calvin Sooban - can't build a basic kitchen cabinet properly the first time

I had the misfortune of placing an order with Calvin Sooban who works out of Midrand. He was asked to replace a water-damaged under-sink melamine kitchen cabinet. It was such a simple design I didn't think it was possible for anyone to get it wrong.

The problems I've had with Calvin are : - The only time he arrived punctually was to prepare the quotation, - After paying the deposit, he needed to be reminded constantly that he still had to install the cabinet. - He kept telling me how many other jobs he had to work on. - He was never punctual. 10h00am for him turned out to be 14h00 and most times he wouldn't; pitch at all. - He forgot his tools at home and he only seems to own a jig saw, a battery operated ***** driver and a container with *****s. - He forgot to install a middle shelf and had to return to do it. - His silicon sealing technique is atrocious and remarkably he managed to break the nozzle off the silicon tube completely. - He broke the kitchen cupboard handle because he used too much force with his electric ***** driver and didn't say anything until I pointed it out to him. Now the new handles don't match the rest of the kitchen fittings. - He quoted for 2 doors and initially only installed 1 until I reminded him that he quoted for 2 doors. So, another trip and another reason for a further delay. - He *****ed all the cabinet parts together and when I told him the ***** heads were visible on the side panels, he simply used white wood filler to cover it up. - He eventually never finished the cabinet after his promise to do. - He's rude and aggressive with no clue of how to deal with customers. - The final product looks like ******* as he was too lazy to remove and replace the plumbing fittings and the backing board. - He probably made about 5 trips to work on the cabinet and then he just stayed away permanently - no explanation or attempt to correct all the wrongs.

Stay away from him - you'll only be wasting your money.
