Misleading Pricing and Refusal to Refund Deposit

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Calvin Phatudi Construction.

I was interested in purchasing a container house for R45,000, and I was informed that this price included transport to Durban, electrical installation (lights), and water installation. Based on these terms, I paid a 20% deposit as requested.

However, one day before the scheduled delivery, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional R16,000 for materials that were supposedly not included in the original quotation. This additional charge was never clearly communicated when the agreement was made.

As I did not have the full amount available, I paid an additional R3,000, with the understanding that the remaining balance would be settled through installments. Despite this, the transaction did not proceed as agreed.

What is most concerning is that the company is now refusing to refund R12,000 of my money. I believe this is unfair, especially considering that the terms and costs changed significantly after I had already committed financially.

I am posting this review to warn other customers to ensure that all costs are clearly documented and confirmed in writing before making any payments.
