Carefull when renting from Calbus Properties. We had a contract with them for 12 months. Deposit paid in full before moving in with all the hidden costs and rental fee's. When we had issues with the house we rented at, they were no help what so ever regarding repair work or fixing issues that the owner was responsible for. Even thou the contract stated all the issues will be fixed before we moved in. Our electricity was constantly shut of by body corporate for no payments made by the owner, this after we paid every month in full to the agency before the due date. When we gave them written notice we will be moving out when the contract is finished and we would like to get our deposit back, they gave us the excuse that the deposit was paid to the owner and we need to get it back ourselves. Wich we realized will not be a easy task seeing we recieved alot of court summons for the owner of the house regarding money he owes to people and companies. Two court summons for different cases to be exact. We also had to deal with 3 different agencies at the end because no one wanted to work with the owner seeing how he treats people and what money he owes to the body corporate where the house resides. That being said, part was a owner issue but mainly you want to rent through a agency that helps both parties and not just themselves. This was a super unprofessional company I ever had to rent through. We were under the impression as per contract that the deposit will be paid in a trust fund via calbus and that it will gain interest. We were also threatened by the agent weekly that we need to move out and the house is not safe for us because of the owner. Surely companies like this must do their research on who they partner with when it comes to rentals and clients. Definitely bull****ted us when it came to payments, deposit and repair work. Wished I could give them a zero star rating. Definitely, absolutely will not recommend to any person who wants a fair contract and a peace of mind that you will get your deposit back. *******
