Calbus property is a ****.

Thee WORST property agency. In August 2018 I signed a lease for a rental unit at Westlake eco estate with this agency. 1 months Deposit, Rent and key Deposit. Fast forward to January 2019 when I got an opportunity to relocate , I had to cancel my lease before it’s expiry date , I did this 25 January 2019 and i was scheduled to move out 28 February 2019 which I did. ( my deposit amount was R 8700) They sent me an invoice which had deductions of R 5890 even though I gave enough notice over the required days in my lease. Today is 28 May 2019 and I have still not received my deposit from this agency, I was told the owner is still verifying when/ where I paid my deposit, which I find strange considering that the deposit and rent were paid to the agencies bank account. My lease agreement states that the Deposit is paid into a Trust Account , but I am now told the landlord/owner has the deposit. Calbus property is refusing to take any responsibility in getting my deposit back and instead they said I should make contact with the owner, despite the fact that I have a POP of all payments made to the Agencies account.
