Cupcakes Issue (They were not fresh)

I've been supporting this company for more than 10 year by buying cakes, so last month I decided to order cupcakes for my son's birthday to take them to school to share with teachers and friend. Delivery date was on 12 July 2024

I've never felt so embarrassed in my life like last week Friday

1. Cupcakes were not fresh 2. When you try to remove cupcake paper the whole cup cake was breaking into pieces, 3. This was happening whilst I was there

I sent an this email to Cakes For Africa including cupcake pictures "Good day Candice,

I hope you are good.

I’m really disappointed about the cupcakes. Design was fine but there were not fresh. I even felt embarrassed when kids and their teachers tried to remove the cupcake paper the cream was separating from the cake.

Truly speaking. I’m not happy"

Response from Candice from Cakes For Africa "Good day

Standard procedure is for the customer to return the product/s back to the branch of collection, so we can investigate to see where the problem could have occurred.

As no goods were returned to be able to confirm.

We would like to offer your 6 complimentary cream cupcakes in your flavour, to acknowledge the complaint and to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

If would like to collect the cupcakes, please confirm a date and time of collection ?

I will ensure the order is sent to Centurion as per your previous requests.

Regards

Candice"

-------------------------------------------------------------- First thing she said on the email is to tell me about the standard procedure not to apologize. I ddidnt want anything from them but after the response i told Candice that i want my money back within 7 days.

The standard procedure that she's talking about is only talking about the whole cake not cupcakes.

I want my moneyback and i will not buy anything again from cakes for africa
