Cafe Roux in Noordhoek always impresses me

Cafe Roux in Noordhoek #SupportLocal has been going for over ten years and is a tight run family owned business with a very warm outlook towards keeping guests happy.

They deserve a big accolade for the high level of service provided by a motivated and very friendly team of waitrons, a number of whom have been with the restaurant for nearly ten years.

I've been impressed over the years by the big effort that the owners put into the personal development of their staff. In one case I am thinking of, the employee in question was put through schooling by the family, then joined the business and rose to be a senior manager. They stuck with him through serious illness and supported his family, although he recently has left the business. They also do the most amazing music concerts, to a small "high touch" audience and a number of the shows are set aside for fund-raising for people or organisations in distress.

Of course, it is a restaurant also and the food is great. I have seldom had a bad experience there.

Well done to the Le Roux family in Noordhoek.
