Cafe la Plage - What a disappointment

<p>We were invited to join our hosts at Cafe la Plage on New Years Eve. Our hosts were told that it would be an evening of fine food, great entertainment which would include a DJ and live band. The food was extremely average, the live band who are part of the Cafe la Plage team played 3 songs earlier on in the evening. At around 23:00 the hosts became anxious as no entertainement had begun, upon enquiring we were told that at 23:00 the band would commence playing followed by the DJ at 23:30. By 23:30 neither had begun. More anxious queries followed. At 23:45 the DJ finally began playing music, the music was not the music promised to the hosts. No count down to 2017, nothing. It was an extremely disappointing evening which held so much promise. At R1,250 per head it was a complete waste of money and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.</p>
