Hopelessly unprofessional. Slippery and slimy
<p>Very unprofessional. I've been trying since January to get my deposit returned. They have been occasionally providing emails that bicker about where the car was driven and accuse the customer of "lying", while withholding my deposit and failing to communicate politely and in a timely manner. Just when I thought it would get resolved, with promises of "we'll do it this week", they've stopped responding entirely to my email attempts. None of my deposit has been returned.</p> <p>The guys and their shop felt ***** from the start. They don't like to do business in person (try finding their physical address on their website!), and beware of their "unlimited kms" promise - it is limited to a 200km radius of the city. And when I returned the car directly from visiting a professional valet service for a full clean, they still insisted there would be a cleaning fee app**** for a minute amount of sand found behind the air vents. I challenged this by opening one of their other cars on the lot that was available for rent and pointing out similar dust. They just shrugged and said the cleaning fee would be app**** anyway, and suggested if I hadn't had it cleaned to the level it was, they would have charged a double cleaning fee!</p> <p>Such as negative impression to leave a tourist to Cape Town :(</p>
Mr Arnott when you rented a new Kia picanto from us from 15-01-2017 to 24-01-2017 you told us that you might go out of the 200km radius when you were explained that the unlimited mileage is within a radius of 200 km from Cape Town, when you returned the vehicle you told us that you did not end up going out of the radius, you gave us money for a car wash as it was dirty, full of sand and camping equipment which you came and fetched a week later, you were not charged for a car wash you paid for it in cash. We then received a traffic fine of R800 that happened on 21-01-2017 in Knysna which is out of the radius, but you still did not want to admit you went out of the radius.
You were charged as per our rental agreement.
