I found this construction company (C Breeze Projects - Steel, Building & Aluminum Works) in Cape Town via an online platform where it had good reviews. I then even phoned another reference, who was also positive. But after paying the deposit and for the material (R21 000), the owner, Curt Dechesne, never arrived to do the work. Many conversations over the phone and text messages followed, but he only promised 'next week' each time. Or said builder is not available or that he is ill. When, after 6 weeks, I finally pulled the plug, he promised repeatedly to repay the money, but that has not happened at all. It seems he was lying all the time, and never even bought the material. Avoid this company and specifically Curt Dechesne as I imagine he will create new companies/names and continue. A tip: always insist on copies of builder's ID documents and proof of address.
