Avoid Buzz Movers – completely unprofessional and *************.
Our move with Buzz Movers was a nightmare from start to finish.
They required full payment upfront, citing a “last-minute” move — which they define as anything booked a week or two in advance. We provided our inventory via WhatsApp as requested. Then, two days before the agreed move date, they rescheduled it to a day earlier. After multiple delays, they arrived late on the original day anyway.
We later learned from a friend also using Buzz that a bottle of whiskey went missing during his move — and was only returned after he threatened to cancel. Buzz failed to inform us of this and only admitted it when we brought it up. Shockingly, they allowed the accused mover to stay on the job, continuing to work and ride in the truck during deliveries. They gave us his first name but refused to share a photo for safety.
Despite earlier assurances, they later billed us R1,200 for a shuttle, R6,000 for extra boxes, and R850 for stairs — even though we had sent photos beforehand and were told there would be flexibility. They refused to provide a breakdown and would not deliver our goods until we paid.
After they confirmed delivery for a specific Monday (based on which we booked flights), they tried to deliver earlier, before we arrived. When we pushed back, they delayed it to Tuesday, only to change back to Monday at the last minute.
Most disturbingly, our TV went missing. Buzz denied it was ever loaded. We tracked down a mover ourselves who confirmed it had been. After three days of us pushing, Buzz finally admitted that blurry footage showed their driver putting it in his personal car — confirmed by three other staff. They apologized for the incident and said their director would reach out to discuss compensation and they did pay us its value in the end.
Delays, theft, hidden fees, and zero accountability. We strongly warn others: do not use Buzz Movers.

Despite several scheduling constraints, our team worked hard to assist where possible and communicated delivery adjustments as best we could under the shared-load nature of your booking. It's important to note that a shared move always has more variables in timing — something we clarify in our terms and booking confirmation. With regard to your TV, we take such allegations very seriously. While there was no clear evidence on our video footage, and no formal proof of wrongdoing, we still made the decision to refund you the value of your TV as a gesture of goodwill — not as an admission of fault. We also paid for accommodation costs to reduce your inconvenience. Not many companies would take these extra steps, and we did so because we believe in resolving issues with fairness and integrity. At Buzz Movers, we pride ourselves on being a company that cares — one that goes far beyond what most others would do to ensure our customers are looked after. The only reason I was compensated for the TV is because I myself gathered the evidence, confronted them with proof, and forced the issue. As for accommodation, they never paid a cent — that is a blatant lie. From start to finish, I was met only with excuses and empty promises.
They were not upfront about anything. There was ample evidence of theft, which I personally had to uncover and force out of their own staff. Thankfully, I was smart enough to get the name and number of the driver in charge who came to collect my belongings, otherwise even that would have been swept under the rug.
They most certainly did not “go beyond” or “care” in any way. On the contrary, my belongings were effectively held hostage, and I was forced to pay just over R8,000 to get them back. That is not service — it’s exploitation.
Readers should be aware that this company is not being honest in their reply. My experience with Buzz Movers was absolutely terrible, and I would strongly caution anyone against trusting them with their belongings
