Butcher block - Sibaya Casino

Service is absolutely awful. I would not recommend this place. We go to Sibaya very often to stay and every time that we went to butcher block, we would make reservations yet we would still wait in the line. Management has no control over what is going on - staff are unaware of what is going on - don't know who they've served, who they haven't served, they even forget to place your order with the kitchen staff. Staff are very rude, have a lot of attitude and are very unhelpful. Further, we once waited over an hour just for Sushi (which doesn't even need to be cooked) and a garlic roll. Even when you are eventually seated at the restaurant, you sit for a solid 10-15 minutes with not one waiter serving you or even asking if you'd like to order a drink.

Customers are treated very poorly and going there always ruins your mood due to the bad service. With the few times that we didn't walk out due to utter frustration and actually got served, the food was good hence we always give the restaurant another chance and go back to eat but lately, the service has become so unbearable that we always end up walking out. We are not the only customers that walk out often due to the poor service.

Also, when you do take this up with staff they give you an attitude as though they are doing you a favour by serving you. When you ask for management, staff says they will call the manager yet you wait for a manager and no manager comes and the staff disappear.

Management should really do something about this branch - it is an absolute nightmare to go here!!!
