BusyMed Private Healthcare YourHealthCare Clinic Dr FF Buys competing with the public sector in failing their communities of service?
Today Wednesday 4 December I (a Colored female adult) took time off from work to attend to a dental appointment for a bilateral wisdom teeth removal. It was agreed upon that my appointment would be honored at 08:30. True to nature and in respect of time I showed up to the clinic at 08:05 anticipating a welcoming reception with the support of my mother. 08:17 arrived and we were still standing outside the vicinity waiting to be attended to while an employee rudely disregarded us stating that the clinic would only open at 08:30. Note: The scheduled operating hours annotated on the freshly printed poster at the entrance states operating hours of Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:30.
At 08:27 the self-proclaimed “boss” of the clinic (a white female estimated at 40 y/o) addressed my mother and I in quite an ********* and rude manner. This, after we had politely questioned the operating hours. The intention was to request that we be seated while we wait. What caused alarm was when the female showed signs of intended bodily malice as she physically charged towards my mother’s direction, followed by the statement “hierdie kinders moet maniere het”. “Hierdie kinders” was used in reference to me, a near 30 y/o female with a particular petite body. This was followed by another statement, “dis my kliniek hierdie”, further annotating her disregard for the time of the community that her practice ought to serve. After which she declared to her colleague, Nelly, “die mense gaan nie 08:30 in kom nie. This was disturbingly shocking to experience after a consultation and telephonic conversation that was handled well and professionally by her subordinates.
At large, this event displays a jaw-dropping quality of ********* and unprofessional practice of the leader of this medical practice vividly. In addition, it puts in question the nature of medical practitioners who are being permitted to mistreat patients with malicious intent in the vicinity of BusyMed Healthcare, Lemo Mall and the community of Heidedal respectively. In addition this experience puts to light the blatant bias, disregard and disrespect towards a being based on their physical body, again questioning the morality of which this practice is run by.
This leads me to the question: What are the standard by which health leaders and practitioners are being held accountable at BusyMed Healthcare on a national scale if such incidents are occurring unprovoked on a local scale? Furthermore, are the management tools and communications shared by the healthcare provider an accurate reflection of the private institutions vision and mission?
