Shocking Diagnosis

Good day

On Wednesday 22 August 2018 at 22:00 I arrived at Busamed Private Hospital in Strand/Somerset West. I checked in at Reception desk and was assisted by a female nurse Mpho and was asked by her for a urine sample due to what I explained to her what my problem is, what a pleasant experience. I was from her referred to a room where I needed to wait for the Dr to assist me. As I waited I was then introduced to Dr Sasi, he asked me how he can assist I explained my entire story and how I felt. He stands at the curtain while asking me these questions and shows absolutely no interest whatsoever, walks towards me and presses on my lower back and bladder and asks if im getting hurt. Is that what you call examining your patient? Whilst speaking to me the nurse comes with my urine sample results and explains to him what she has picked up. From there he immediately makes the conclusion that it definitely may be a UTI combined with kidney stones and that I need to go for a CT scan the following morning. He prescribed me antibiotics which I received two tablets of only and a bottle of Alka Fizz. He advised me when I come back in the morning I will get the rest of my medication.He continued standing at the curtain while having this conversation with me. I was sent home with no clear indication as to what the problem is.

On Thursday 23 August 2018 at 09:12 I returned to Busamed Private Hospital in Strand/Somerset West.I once again checked in at Reception and was waiting for my turn to be assisted. I was assisted by a female nurse, again a urine sample was requested as I was explained the Dr need to look at that first before they do anything I agreed and provided the urine sample I was once again placed into a room awaiting the Dr. I was then introduced to Dr Pretorius , she asked how am I doing and how she can assist, whilst chatting she did the same that Dr Sasi did just pressed my lower back and pressed on my bladder. She asked if I had any pain I explained my entire story and how I felt. She gave me a conclusion as to what she thought was wrong and asked what Dr Sasi diagnosed me with last night and I explained to her about kidney stones and the UTI and the CT scan I had to do this morning hence the reason why I am at the hospital and by hearing what I am saying she smiles and fully disagreed with the CT scan for kidney stones, she was confident that it was just a UTI. A few minutes later she leaves the room and a lady with the name of Lucil with Pathcare uniform walks in to do blood samples and whilst done with that I see the nurse handing the lady of pathcare my urine sample.Shortly after that I was put on drip. Awaiting the blood results and results comes back negative. After the blood results I could now hear Dr Pretorius is almost sure that it is a UTI only as she explains to me there are no severe pain for kidney stones but there is a possibility that there might be a small one. Dr Pretorius explains to me that my urine was now sent to the lab for culturing and takes 2-3 days for results to be released. After that Dr went to speak to the kidney specialist and he also advised that it might and might not be kidney stones. At this point no CT scan need to be done. Another drip is added which was for antibiotic and there I get my prescription for medication and a medical certificate. Still I have no indication as to what the exact problem is...

All I heard on both occasions is a MIGHT and POSSIBILITY...AM I EVEN TREATED FOR THE CORRECTLY??

On Saturday morning 24 August 2018 I contact the hospital to hear if my results are out from the lab and the lady advised me that Dr Sasi is on duty that he will give me a call, I did not wait long to receive a call. I was told over the phone by Dr Sasi nothing is serious that they have picked up some inflammatory in the urine but the culturing picks up no bacteria. I need to come back either for a ultrasound or the CT scan. Yet again he tells me it might be kidney stones.He then advised me that because I was on antibiotics from the Wednesday night and the urine was taken the Thursday morning, could be a possibility that nothing is being picked up in my blood or the culturing of the urine. He then asked me over the phone what I have in mind with what it could be. He then also advised me I can either come back or seek medical advise elsewhere. On day 3 and still no diagnosis and my symptoms is still exactly the same, no change since being on medication.

My question is, I come there as a patient seeking medical assistance from your highly trained and professional Doctors as it is advertised everywhere that is even the first thing you hear over the telephone when calling the hospital, but yet both Dr's could not diagnose me. Is this the service your staff provide? Two doctors cannot diagnose one patient with what is wrong? If more test needed to be done why was this not communicated, it is Sunday 26 August 2018 I still see no change in my symptoms or that the medication is helping.

Why was all the test that was done on day 2 not done on day 1 I am pretty sure there would have been more clarity in the blood and urine sample. It is now 5 days later and I still feel exactly the same, exact same symptoms no change and still I have no idea what is wrong with me. Inthe interim while using the medication I had to buy I have developed diarrhea as well.

MY QUESTION REMAINS, AM I TREATED CORRECTLY? I FERL THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

I need feedback on the above please.
