Poor Service from Thrive@Busamed Mental Health Hospital (Strand) and Dr. Ashraf Jedaar
My brother Mr. J.L de Swardt , were recently submitted by Ametis Old-age Home (Gordonsbay Road Strand) to Busamed Paardevlei, due to mental instability at about 21h00 by ambulance. He is an epilepsy sufferer sins he was a teenager. His epilepsy is well controlled by medication from his Neurologist. Due to many years of seizures, he has suspected brain damage with cases of mental outbursts. With him was his overnight-bag and written referral by Ametis Night Sister and his current medication. It seems like with his admittance at ER, the personnel didn't look in his back or he didn't told them that there was a letter. The doctor in ER didn't know why he was admitted and took an x-ray for no apparent reason. At 00h30 they apparently decided to book him into Thrive@Busamed Mental Health Hospital (Strand) without notifying Ametis. At this time his wife were also very sick and nobody knew were he was. I have Power of Attorney over both of them and I have tried to communicate with Thrive and Dr. Ashraf Jedaar on various occasions to find out any feedback on my brother's evaluation and treatment without any prevail. After one week we still have not managed to get either feedback from Thrive or Dr. Jedaar. I have it on Whatsapp record where Dr. Jedaar promissed that he will have a video call to discuss his evaluation and tests performed. This Video call never materialized. This is totally unacceptable for us as family. Because of this we have arranged that he book himself out of Thrive. Up to date we still have received no feedback, Due to this we believe that GEMS Medical Aid don't have to pay them a cent for unknown services rendered. We as family expect a written apology from Dr. Jedaar and Thrive@Busamed Mental Health Hospital (Strand) and a full report of his evaluation and treatment.

The worst private hospital ever no compassion- not what they advertising!!
The worst experience ever! Took my 16 yr old injured son there on Monday , which I regret till this second. From the Receptionist not knowing how insurance works to the Doctors :( non chalant attitude. Everything I had to ask for 2 panados after I asked as my son was in pain , then 2 tramadol for a 16 yr old, and he had bad heart palpitations after that meds after I as a parent trust them to give correct meds etc, no empathy no sympathy. I had to ask what exactly does the xray say cos the doctor is so slow and minimal of words, I had to ask for a sick note and he did not even book off my son I had to asked for a pain med script.....Ohhh and to top it off the injury was on the leg and back and he only attended to the back. NOTHING WHATSOVER! We all pay the same fees but I can surely say the treatment differs , we waited so long to be helped and everything was so rubbed off. I am dissapointed and disgusted with the service and feel I failed my son by taking him to this pathetic hospital!! Where is the Ethics, compassion, care , dignity, high quality care and service you advertise??????????????

Worst service EVER
The worst hospital experience ever. My husband was lying in hospital for one and half a day before attending or approaching him at all. His surgery was scheduled for Friday and because of POOR communication and POOR patient handover was only attended to on the Saturday. WE are paying and they just don't care. Will NEVER suggest any unwell or very sick person to come here at all.

Busamed Clinic at The Huntsman
I just want to take a moment to thank & compliment Sereh of the Busamed Clinic at The Huntsman for the outstanding service you provided me at the clinic. Your kindness, patience, understanding and professionalism make such a difference. You didn’t just assist me—you made me feel truly cared for and respected and took me from tears and distress to reassurance and smiles. It’s rare to find someone who combines efficiency with such genuine warmth. May you continue to bring comfort and reassurance to all who visit the clinic. My prayer is that you will stay at this clinic. A wonderful medical staff member you are Sereh. I honor and appreciate you.

I have no words.
If I could I would give this place a zero star rating! Don't even know where to start, horrible service, arrogant doctors and a non existing finance department. Stay as far away from this place as possible!
