Busamed harrismith should just close it's doors

This hospital will give you one bad experience after another.

On Friday the 31st of January 2025 morning, my son was brought in to casualty by a friend of mine after he injured his left wrist on 30th of jan at rugby practice. This being his dominant hand.

He was seen by doctors and later admitted to the hospital as I wasnt there, a slab was put on him and no one asked him which hand is his dominant hand or gave care instructions for him. Since I was out of town i received a call from nurse stating he was admitted and would be discharged the following morning - Saturday the 1st of feb.

In the absence of care instructions and failure to receive adequate information about the extent of my son's injury, I was convinced I must book to see the doctor concern which I did. Tuesday we saw doctor, who also said she doesn't talk to parents or the nurses regarding injuries especially if the patient is above 8 years old. She states she arrived while my son was sadated, woke him up and spoke to him. What could a sadated person remember about any conversation? This is really reckless.

After this visit made an appointment for the follow up which would be 27th of February 14.30. The day came we arrived for the visit the Dr wasn't there. She had left, and to have secretary suprised ti see us arrive and when she checked her diary which she evidently doesnt use, she says 'ohhh here its written'. She tells me another in their group will be here later same day which the dr arrived I saw the Dr but this was a futile experience because related departments were closed at that hour meaning I need to return for Xray and physio which would have been done earlier had my follow up been honored.

Please hire professionals who know how to work with their own equipment and patients (competence) . Its tiring to have to drive back and forth to the hospital and be anxious of the type of treatment one will get this time. It's rediculous. And to think this is not the only bad experience with this hospital. Its embarrassing to say the least yet we are billed for their mistakes and all.

I'd rather go to Thebe public hospital than come here.
