I paid but I'm still listed

I owed Vodacom a few hundreds Rands, after they sent their lawyer I paid their money, I even have a paid up letter for it, I was promised that this account would be removed from my credit profile, it still exists after 2 years. It was fun for lawyers to chase me for the money, but your job is not complete, now I have to wait another 14 days for the clearance, why? Why can't this be done immediately? It's already long overdue.
