no real credit checks done on out tenants leaving us with no home

We rented our house out through Burmain Property, the process itself was quick and we were assisted fast. The owner Eddie came to view our house and then came back with news of price we would get per month for the property. we agreed and they found people to rent, this was good news for us a as we needed the bond to pay itself as ABSA wanted their money. Burmain did not do a proper reference check on the people they allowed in the house. At the time neither did we even second guess our agents choice. the people who moved in only paid rent for two months and then were in our property for a year. Eddie himself said there was nothing they could do and apologized for putting the wrong people. Had they checked the credit history they would have seen the amount of times the tenants had moved in a number of months, had they checked the history with landlords and issues this would have never happened to us. had they checked the companies that were owned by the tenants were ********** and even tried to phone would have seen that a number like *** does not exist, that the offices put in the credit check were ****. I believe they never checked anything! Burmain then cancelled the lease and left us not knowing what should happen? we are now chasing the tenants as a result. I would not recommend anyone to use their services as they have no care for what they should be doing which is assisting one with their property. All agreements left us with nothing and we even lost our home.
