Pathetic service
I came into casualty with an injury,@Olivedale hospital, I was then sent downstairs to do an ultrasound/x rays.i entered at 13:00 got give documents to fill out and told to wait, it's now 14:30 and I haven't been seen yet. I asked the receptionist what's the issue and why is it taking long apparently there is only two people assisting, this RUDE white Lady, comes to me and says they know I'm waiting I will be seen, I asked why is it that people that came after me is been seeing and I'm still waiting, she then gave her nonsense explanation and said she will push me in the passage, as I write this I'm sitting in the passage in front of the entrance of the x rays department like a naughty child as I felt that women pushed me here so I don't make a scene in the reception area. The service is pathetic, you can't have patients sitting in pain waiting over an hour to be seen, I probably will be still waiting here after 2 hours, I highly recommend that one does not go to Dr Burgers x rays department @Olivedale hospital,
Sincere apologies for the delay in assisting you with your examination. As a Casualty patient I assure you we will take you in as soon as possible. I see you are still on the waiting list from Casualty - to be done asap for an Ultrasound. You may have noticed how full our waiting room is at the moment. Mondays are usually crammed with patients from Casualty as well as emergencies in our Wards and ICU, and then of course we have those patients for appointments. When we have Casualty / emergency patients that need to be done (in wheelchairs or in beds) - as a matter of protocol - we place our patients in the passage so they can be taken in speedily. That is the reason why you are placed in the passage. The Sonographers also know you are next in line once the rooms open up. Although it seemed like other people were taken before you - that is certainly not the case. We have patients in our waiting room going to the MRI / CT and X-ray rooms for examinations as well. The Sonographers that will take care of you were both called up to ICU and MICU for the emergency mobile ultrasounds. You will see them coming back from the wards shortly. I have spoken to the Sonographers and I assure you, you will be taking you in as soon as possible.
