Burger Radiologists, a smile is worth a lot!

As a walk-in customer at a medical practice, one is usually greeted with disdain as the scheduling has to be altered and other people that have been waiting longer, may have to wait longer still to make accommodations.

I was one such walk-in at Burger Radiologists and had the opposite experience. The FoH staff were all pleasant and greeted me with smiles. They asked that I complete the usual paperwork, showed me where the water cooler was and offered me a sucking sweet while I waited. I was on crutches, so the friendly receptionist carried my clipboard and pen to me and said I could call her over when I was done, so that I didn't need to get up.

Unfortunately, there was a (not-so) friendly customer sat opposite me and he grumbled about everyone and everything. He tried to rally those around him by making eye contact and using 'us' and 'we' language. The FoH staff were visibly upset and tried to explain kindly to him why there was a wait but he was rather impossible.

I was impressed by how calm and collected (and still friendly) the FoH staff remained, but could see her shaking when she discussed the interaction with her colleagues.

I am glad for people that can keep a smile on their face and commend Burger Radiologists for their approach!

Thank you

Dear Sarah

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand that being in a waiting room can pose frustrations, but patients like you inspire us!  I am very proud of our reception staff and will certainly convey my deep appreciation to them.

Kind regards
