Putrid service and food from Burger King George

Whilst not regular take out eaters, one of my husband's first choices would be Burger King. We've eaten from many outlets but over the last few years, we have ordered from Burger King George. In December, we joined the drive through. Once in that queue, one cannot get out. Half an hour later we eventually reached the order kiosk. It took anotger 15 munutes to rwach the payment kiosk and collection point. We had ordered our usual, 2 whoppers with cheese, chips and a drink. It cost a while lot more than the last time we had bought it. The burger and chips were cold when they were handed to us. There was nothing whopper about them. A squashed sandwich, with a slither of lettuce and tomato and absolutely no sign of cheese. Our Pepsi was watered down to half the normal strength. We actually went and bought another Pepsi in a can to compare them. If Pepsi was aware how their brand was being messed with, I think they would be almightily peeved. In short the wait was totally unacceptable and the meal barely edible. The whopper in no way resembled the advertised meal nor what we had got in the past. What was most disappointing however was management's response. They really should be on top of what is happening at their outlets. We received a standard letter saying they have noted our experience and the case is closed. NO! I need to know that they have actually investigated the problems that we experienced - not one part of our experience was acceptable - and that appropriate action has been taken. We won't eat there again until such time that we receive this assurance. I also believe that Joe Public should be aware of the level of service tgey could expect.
