Poor service & Poor quality
Obviously Burger King dont man their email. As I is almost a week and still no response. Good day
I reply after my call with customer care today.
I been on the road since 06:00 yesterday morning, so you could guess the frustrations when been met with arrogance, Ignorance and poor service from a company and people that should be serving the public.
This afternoon I decided to stop off at Kimberley, after eating last night I was ravished and very hungry.
Not a regular to Burger King I thought let me give it a try. I order the special via the screen, of which us older folk still have no clue how it works.
First thing the machine didn't give me a receipt, as I need one. I climb in the que at the till staff staring at me like I come from a foreign land. I note what I now know as the manager ask's and points to me about if I have served. Answer being he already ordered, no questions why is he now standing at the till. Once I was in the front I requested a receipt, this lady (lucia) shoves a empty cup in my hand and I wait and wonder why..... Anyway this bag gets dropped in front of me, I ask is this my order? yes! And she turns away, I ask well as you probably have notes I dont frequent here, what must I do with this empty cup. I am told that around the corner is a machine, you must pour your own drink. But wait a minute I ordered on your fancy system a pepsi max, now why must I pour it myself.
Moving forward. Luckly I open up my bag, only to look at a piece of chicken as brown as my shoes, definitely been over cooked in hot oil.
i show the lady and tell her ai want another piece because this is way over cooked, such that there is no skin visible, burst open showing the burnt meat in the inside. I get told I will have to wait, all good I will wait.
30 seconds later someone shouts from the back, its my new piece of chicken, just a burnt, hard as a rock. I mention this, she mumbles something back and say I will take it up with head office.
( I am guessing the oil is too hot, or these which I think is what is happening are been re heated in the oil)
Well the number I called on the top of the slip, they must please get people that can talk clearly and know how to talk to customers, such that I said I dont understand a word he is saying and I will call the other number.
I call the customer care, that lady that assisted me very kind and helpful, suggested I go back and ask them to refund the chicken. If I have issues I should email customer care.
Back I go into the store, again being looked at as if I am some alien. Ask to speak to the manager, this is James that is walking by. I explain to him that I have spoken to customer care and mentioned I must ask for a refund. He comes along with all excuses, eventually tells me that they are aware of the situation with the chicken and that is how it comes, they just put it in the oil. I mention the oil is obviously too hot. Again excuses. I actually said stop coming with excuses and rather give me solutions. Also asked is he not ashamed to sell these rocks to the customers, actually squeezing the piece in my hand to prove how hard cooked it is. Again excuses. He offered to make me another, I said no, as it will be the same rather refund me.
Then there the girls stand looking at the till like they had just recieved a salary cut. After aome deliberation between themselves they say they can't just refund the chicken. I said, then refund me the whole lot, I will go buy elsewhere.
James wanted my receipt back, probably to make it disappear. Asked my name and telephone number, for what I dont know.
Left there obviously hungry and highly "****ed off" I can really not believe that we can take a fully functioning American franchise and system and **** it up like this.
Not a sorry, not how can we fix it. Well sorry is not going to fix it.
I am really disgusted in what has become of pride, accountability and customer service in this country.
Attached image of the second piece of chicken. The photo does not do it justice, but the burnt batter can clearly be seen, or even as I can guess the oil that has not been changed in ages. Too a image of my receipt.

Bradley Wilson
