Poor service and complimented with burnt out chicken wings

Went to purchase lunch at Burger King for our team today, placed a massive order for the entire team. The order amounted to almost a thousand rands. The take away outlet is quite a distance from our workplace so we have to drive all they way there for our orders. We were quite astonished by the service we received especially considering that this is a new outlet that had a duty to impress its customers as it had just recently opened. The staff members were inexperienced and mixed up quite a number of customer orders, customers were forced to wait in long queues with no assistance. We were very patient with the staff however when our order was ready after 50 mins or so, we drove back to the office only to find that one meal was not included in the order. We called Burger King Meadowdale and spoke to a staff member who said we should come and collect the meal, we advised them that we are back at the office and our lunchtime is over. We were told that they don't do deliveries and that we can collect the meal after work. Like really???? We came to order food during lunch because we are hungry, now we have to wait till after work to eat??? They took our contact number and promised to call in 5 mins, we waited and waited but no call received. We then tried calling back but their phone was now not going through. Eventually we decided to drive back as we were extremely hungry and would not wait till after work. When we got there, we spoke to the "so called manager" who was laughing as we explained our experience. She then offered to give us a R30 voucher for the inconvenience which we refused to accept. After back and forth arguing, she offered to give us wings. We didn't open the meal until we got to the office, to our surprised. They gave us burnt wings which were evidently disposed after being cooked. Probably came from the bin as only a dog would consume such food. After over 30 years of democracy and yet we have to deal with such repellent behaviour from this food franchise and yet we are spending our hard earned money to support and sustain jobs in this dying economy. We have so many people looking for jobs and yet those who have are treating it like a joke and don't know the true meaning of treating customers fairly. I will be escalating this to the highest level, this is an international franchise company and I believe it is disgusting that this is the kind of service we receive as South Africans.
