Pathetic Service

This feedback is regarding the bad service received at the drive through section of Burger King located at N1 City outside of the mall. i stopped at the above mentioned on Sunday 30 April at about 17:45 after going through the menu I ordered for myself a triple whopper swapping the cool drink for milkshake for my wife I ordered a double whopper with the same swap. Upon pulling to the window to pay, which in itself was unprofessional. At no pint did the teller confirm my order but merely handed me the speed point to pay after stating the amount. I payed, after which I received the till slip. When reviewing the slip i noticed they had billed me for two double whoppers which was not what I ordered I then advised the teller who then proceeded to get the manager to attempt to resolve the issue all the while still talking to her colleague. The manager attempted to resolve the problem but it was then only made worse by the teller then informing me they had no milkshakes. When I asked why I was not informed when placing my order I was told they had just changed shifts and didn't know what they had in stock. i told them I will drive to the parking area and come into the store as I wa now holding up the drive through customers as this incident had by then taken up close on to ten minutes without resolution. i then proceeded to park my car and enter the store where I was met by the manager after a few minutes. She was holding cash in her hand. She apologized for the trouble and said they will reimburse me. At no point did I say I was going to cancel the order I just wanted the proper order. This pushed me over the edge. I fail to see how such a large franchise does not have methods in place to inform their staff of shortages or what is not available. This was the first experience for my wife at Burger King in SA but sadly it will be the last and I will be telling all my friends and family not to visit this branch
