No mystery in Burger King's 'mystery burgers'
So we see the BK ad for 'mystery burgers'. Sounds like a fun idea. Went to BK Brackenfell on Friday evening, thirty minutes after loadshedding ended. Get in line at the drive-through and a friendly gentleman tells us there will be a forty minute wait, because the system is not yet up and running. No problem. We'll wait. Thirty minutes later, we get told that we have to park and go inside, as the drive-through system was still not functioning. Still no problem. We park, wait in line another 30 minutes. Get served eventually, get our food and off we go. Get home, open up our 'mystery burgers' and there is absolutely no mystery whatsoever. Three whoppers - the cheapest of the possibilities. And three of the same burgers in one order. What a disappointment. I take a picture and send off a friendly e-mail to the customer service address provided. No response. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt. Nothing. Nada. It has been three days and still no response. So I wonder if this is how BK values its customers. I have always supported BK above, e.g. McD's, but I after this experience, I will have to reconsider.
This is what I received from the customer care 'team' (no individual taking responsibility) in response to my e-mail:
So basically, 'we don't care'.
My conclusion: They won't see my business ever again.
