NEW & improved KING VALUE MEALS?!

New? Yes, published on the app a few weeks ago. Improved? No. The opposite.

I have been an enthusiastic patron of Burger King for many years, both locally (once it arrived here) and in countries overseas. Ahead of all its fast food competitors, especially its main one. (You know to whom I'm referring!) But BK Marketing is seemingly treating its customers like idiots. "Improved" has removed all but three of the "small" meals, including the two that I used to often order. And in the process has created confusion. Even the customer care office is well-meaning but confused as to what is now on the menu. ThereUsed to be a section on the BK website that clearly showed what King Value meals were available. Both "small" and "medium". No more. And of course getting pricing of any kind online has always been almost a total secret.

On Monday I had a BK Crunch medium meal at a Johannesburg store, small being now unavailable. "Improved", remember? Cost R61.90, more than 50% higher than its former small meal. "Improved" for whom? Not the customer. I then noticed on the instore meal pricing that I could have had the same meal for R62.90, just R1 more. Weird. But then today at a newly opened Johannesburg store with auto ordering machines I got the same BK Crunch medium meal with cheese for R59.90. Two Rand less. But without cheese was R61.90. Huh?! Really? I guess I should have kept quiet about that, now the pricing might get changed. But perhaps I'll get rewarded?
