Missing chips, tiny burger and an insulting R5.85 refund

I ordered a Chilli Long Beef meal from Burger King through Uber Eats. The meal was R101 and was supposed to include the burger, chips and a drink. I also paid extra for onion rings.

When my order arrived, the chips were completely missing.

I reported the missing item and was given a refund of R5.85 for the chips. Seriously? R5.85? For chips that were supposed to be included as part of a R101 meal?

This is completely unacceptable and does not represent reasonable value for money.

On top of that, the Chilli Long Beef burger was ridiculously small. For the price of the meal, I expected something that would actually be filling. Instead, the burger was tiny and extremely disappointing.

So I paid R101 for a meal, received a burger that was far smaller than expected, had the chips missing altogether, and then was given a R5.85 refund as if that adequately compensates for the missing portion of the meal.

This is not about wanting something for free — I paid for what I ordered and expected to receive the meal that was advertised.

Burger King needs to seriously look at the portion size, value for money and quality control, and Uber Eats needs to do better when customers receive incomplete orders.

TRIED CALLING THEM AMD THEY KEEP CUTTING THE CALL?????

Very disappointing experience.
