DESPICABLE SERVICE AT BURGER KING
I wish to lodge a complaint regarding utterly despicable service my son and I received tonight at the Burger King Sanctuary at De Beer’s Avenue, Somerset West.
One of my favourite times as a senior citizen is when my son takes me for a take-out Bar One Fusion at night. We do so often. It is a very precious experience for me to spend this time with my son.
Tonight we ordered the same. This is how it went:
1. “Can we please have two Bar One Fusions” 2. Server says to another lady: “Please help me with two Oreo Fusions”. 3. We hear this and advise her that we ordered the Bar-One Fusions. 4. She asks the lady to correct it. 5. The lady starts making it. 6. We step aside and wait. 7. 15 minutes go by. 8. We then query when it would be ready 9. Another lady makes new ones and hands them to us. 10. We look at it and notice that it had been mixed and even though they are mixed, everything is stuck to one side of the wall of the cup, not even reaching halfway, with the one side so empty that one can see the bottom of the inside of the cup. I’m sure three to four ordinary scoops would have been enough to finish it. 11. We complain. 12. We are told that it is because it had been mixed. 13. We advise that we did not order nor will we pay for cups that are not even halfway full, with most of the contents stuck to the one side. 14. The cups are snatched out of our hands and your lady proceeds to fill it with ordinary ice-cream, no Bar-One sauce, until it squishes out of the top. 15. Both cups are then slapped in front of us with a “click of the tongue”. 16. Being South African, I am aware that the sound of someone clicking their tongue at you is a sign and indication of utter disrespect towards another. 17. As the ice-cream is now squishing out of the top, it also oozes out of the sides of the lid. 18. We had to be satisfied with it dripping over our hands while driving home. 19. We ate our Bar-one Fusions with hardly any Bar-One sauce in it. 20. We washed our hands
I wish to advise as follows:
21. Your staff at the branch has no manners. 22. Your staff at the branch has no respect for customers 23. Your staff at the branch do not know how to take accountability for their actions 24. Your staff at the branch are rude 25. Your staff at the branch has no respect for senior citizens (You can ignore this, most younger South Africans had by now forgotten what respect for the elderly means) 26. I will rather return to Mc Donalds for an Oreo Mc Flurry, where I always get a smile and a full cup.
We will not be returning to Burger King again.
