Card payments still not accepted after 3 weeks and received no answer about my covid safety concerns.

I have 2 problems with burger king.

First issue I have is with the store in keywest. 3 weeks and keywest store still don't accept tyme bank cards. The Burger King in Wilgeheuwel Centre can accept my card, why can't keywest? I don't know if their card machines are outdated or what.

Additional problem I had today was this time my Capitec account didn't have enough money to pay. So I just walked out. Please keywest, fix or update your card machines. Please would someone just take a few minutes and sort this out with your bank.

You are one of my 2 favourite burger king stores (other is Clearwater), your staff are friendly and great. I would really like to get my food from you again, but you will not see me again until you sort out your card machines.

My second issue is with burger king in general regarding covid. Especially the one store who insists on leaving all doors closed permanently so I'm forced to touch a door handle touched by hundreds of other people.

Plus how is burger king using its air-conditioning systems to control covid infections in their stores? I already sent an email and case was closed without getting a reply.

Regarding your air-conditioning systems in this covid pandemic, this is what would make me feel safer, here's the email I sent to you that you closed and I got no answer to:

Please implement better COVID safety measures.

I'm no virologist but please consider using your air-conditioning systems to make your burger king restaurants safer against covid.

Perhaps even just speak to a virologist for a few minutes about how you can use your air-conditioning system to reduce covid risk.

As a general thing I find your stores with doors closed and air-conditioning off. So if someone who has no symptoms (asymptomatic carrier) breathes out contaminated air, it stays in your building permanently, infecting everyone who comes in.

These are my thoughts and what would make me, as a customer feel much safer in your stores in this dreadful covid world.

Use your air-conditioning systems (set to the fastest/highest fan speed) to get old (possibly covid contaminated) air out your buildings as fast as possible by sucking air out the building. Keep windows and doors open and ensure no one is standing by windows and doors (so the possibly contaminated air breathed out by them doesn't go into the building) and get your ventilation systems to SUCK AIR OUT the building.

lf someone who is contaminated breaths or coughs, the contaminated air leaves the building as fast as possible through the closest ventilation duct. Minimising the spread of infection.

As opposed to your ventilation system blowing which would make the closest door or window the closest exit for contaminated air, and too far from the centre of the building, so if someone in the centre of the building breaths out contaminated air, it moves across a large portion of the building to the exit. Hence I believe ventilation systems sucking air out, not blowing air in, is best.

To go further (could cost lots of money) you set your current air-conditioning system in the roof to SUCK. And put BLOWING air inlet pipes on the floor to create a high pressure system on the floor and low pressure system by the roof, taking contaminated air up and away from where people walk and breathe as quickly and as fast as possible, before someone else walks through the contaminated air.

Then to deal with contaminated saliva that falls to the floor when someone coughs, please put shallow containers containing disinfectant mixed in water/soapy water/bleach in water by all entrances so that it ****s the virus on my shoes if I step in contaminated saliva on the floor. So I don't take contaminated saliva on my shoes home with me and spread the virus everywhere I walk.

And of course clean floors and surfaces frequently.

Which brings me to another concern about closed doors. To enter your one 'stand alone' store, I have to touch a door handle to enter, I can only imagine how many other people have touched the same handle. Why isn't this door left open so hundreds of people including myself don't have to touch the handle?

Like I said I'm no virologist but there's a lot you can do to make me, as a very regular customer feel so much safer in your burger king stores.
