Burger kings Plant based whopper is still meat

The plant-based whopper is a good idea as it has attracted the vegetarian and vegan communities ,However upon closer inspection found that the Pattie is grilled on the same grill as the meat based patties,My question is WHY is this happening .essentially your eating meat as the fats are absorbed by the plant-based Pattie.
