BURGER KING BLUE ROUTE TOKAI

My (6 months pregnant) wife & our 5 year old daughter was at the food court inside Blue Route mall today (Thursday 23 July 2020 at around 13:30). My wife ordered something to eat at one of the food stalls in the food court. She then went to burger king to purchase a burger king milkshake for herself and our daughter.

They then took a seat at one of the tables at Burger King. During her meal, one of the burger king staff came over to my wife and delivered a message from the burger king store manager - that they cannot sit at a burger king table because they were eating food purchased at Sausage Saloon.

My wife was so upset & embarrassed & then asked the staff member if the manager was really throwing them out during their meal. The staff member seemed hard pressed not knowing what to do; but my wife immediately lost her appetite.

Subsequently, she and our daughter immediately got up and left....even leaving their half-eaten food and BURGER KING MILKSHAKE unfinished on the table. What a waste of money during these difficult times!!!!

So my question to you Burger King is...WHAT KIND OF AN ESTABLISHMENT ARE YOU RUNNING EXACTLY? WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO YOU TEACH YOUR STORE MANAGERS?

That manager did not even have the guts to come speak to my wife himself / herself, but instead send a staff member to do his/her "dirty" work. Regardless, no manager should ever do such a thing to any brand supporting patron.

My wife has vowed never to support the burger king brand again - she even told the staff member this. And I support her 100% because we believe that courtesy & respect should always be reciprocated.

I thought the food court is a social and relaxed shared/communal area and should be treated as such, especially since the need for social distancing. I never knew the food court to have hard rules, & I'm sure that is not the policy of the mall's management? Even if it is so, how can a burger king manager throw out a patron who bought two milkshakes at their store, simply for eating a different brand of food?????????????????????????????????????????

Burger King, you might not feel the loss of three patrons, but I'm sure if I placed this on social media and the news, you'd have a second thought.
