BAD SERVICE

I bought a new 12 - 30 Kva Bundu Power diesel generator during 2017. The first service was during Aug 2018. The second service was on 1st Aug 2019 at 151 Pruimbos Ave, Weltevreden Park ext 18 Roodepoort. Generator hour meter reading 130. Bundu tax invoice No. 041483 for R4516.37 refers.

The day after the second service we experienced a power failure and I noticed oil lying in the pan underneath the generator.

The Bundu Power technician was called back to investigate and apparently tightened something on the generator.

We were informed that there was a problem and the generator and needs to be collected at a cost of R3450.00 as per Bundu sales quote No.012466. Apparently Bundu could’nt do the repairs on site and had to collect the generator.

We requested an explanation what and why there was a problem with the generator. We received a sales quote for R18 779.50 to replace the Injector pump assembly as per quote No. 012466.

We did not agree to replace the Injector pump assembly however we sourced an in depended generator expert for a second opinion. According to this independed generator expert the person who serviced our generator should be held accountable for the poor workmanship conducted on the generator.

The Injector pump assembly was never replaced and the generator has run for 22 hours without any problem. Generator hour meter reading is now 152hrs. No problems whatsoever.

Could Bundu Power please provide an explanation regarding this to me as soon as possible. Regards FG Zeelie.
