HORROR SHOW! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

ROOMS: * Dorm 2: 8 sets of bunk beds, hardly any space to walk, disgusting bathrooms (plastered with no tiles), spiders above beds, rooms dirty (they didn’t even bother to sweep the floors or dust the beds), ******* from previous backpackers was still there * 8 chalets with 4 small kitchens (shared) * Chalets have 5/6 beds in them, with one bathroom. The room is divided into 2 parts - a small area with 2 single beds squashed in, and a larger part with a double bed and set of bunk beds. Depending on your vibe, these rooms are optimal for 2 people - not 6!! * Only 1 roll of toilet paper per toilet per stay. * Some taps broken. * ****roaches in bedroom * Spiders in room * Bring your own kitchen utensils (hardly any are provided and it’s inconsistent between the rooms so you don’t know what you’re going to get) * Chalets are dirty, even after the best efforts from the cleaners. * Showers are extremely dirty and full of mold - bring slip slops to shower! * Basic bedding provided - pillows aren’t great, bring your own. * Be careful when bringing your own bedding because some of our pillow cases were taken to be washed (without consent) but never returned. * One unit is air conditioned, one unit has broken aircon and others have nothing. * No fans in other rooms and the rooms are very hot due to very few windows

FACILITIES: * False advertising: * Not a BnB * No restaurant * Pool was green * Braai’s provided * Poorly stocked bar * Bartender very sweet and kind, but completely confused when it comes to running the bar. A bar tab was given as a cash number (approx R1200) with no line items, and hardly any drinks were even had at the bar so we are not sure what they were charging us for. * A second bar tab was given after NYE after we had purposefully boycotted the bar so absolutely no one ordered anything from the bar. * AVOID THE BAR AT ALL COSTS OR ONLY USE CASH TO AVOID CONFUSION. You’ll probably get a bill anyway it seems. * Pool table is nice * Nice outdoor bonfire area * Grass not mowed

MANAGEMENT: We dealt with Nicci for our bookings and the following happened: * quotes were mixed up * bookings were cancelled/forgotten * we paid deposit for 6 chalets and only got 5 on arrival (Nicci didn’t care that we had to share and still pay full price) * Nicci said the showers were dirty because the accommodation is close to the ocean (absolute *******!). She proceeded to ask US to tell the cleaners to clean better instead of managing her OWN STAFF! (After admitting to us that she was hungover - so unprofessional) * One of the owners/managers (who was extremely drunk) made “jokes” (more like threats) that because we are from JHB they should have charged us more. He was also carrying a gun. * We were given an invoice made on Microsoft Word that looked NOTHING like the invoices we received Pre-booking. The numbers were made-up and didn’t even slightly resemble our actual booking amounts and outstanding amounts. They seemed to have no idea what was going on.

Overall sh*t show run by *********** people. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me!
