@Home the home ware store uncaring

I bought a friend a gift card , unfortunately the gift card was lost. I still have the details of the voucher but i was told by Clearwater mall store that there is nothing they can do . I pleaded with them to call their head office for assistance and nothing came of it. The response was that with the gift card they cant do anything and therefore my money is lost.
