Be carefull where you take your pets.

My wife and I took our 14 year old ringneck parrot to the Vet, The receptionist was unfriendly from the word go... we told her we are pensioners and could not pay all fees at once. We asked her if we could pay instalments, she then brought out a heap of paperwork for us to sign and also a bank debit order so that we don't miss any payments. She also wanted a deposit of R600 which we did not have, we only paid R300 deposit. She also said it does not matter if you a pensioner. (Nasty piece of work). There were a few other customers that brought in their dogs and cats, the receptionist was all over them and their pets because they pay cash and or full amount there and then. This all happened before we even saw the doctor, after waiting almost and hour we finally met with the doctor and he said the parrot has an infection in his lung sacks, so he continued by injecting who knows what into birds chest, 2 injections. and he gave us another item to use in the nebuliser at home for a few days. So we walked to reception to wait for the amount owing for the treatment, it wasn't even a minute the bird started choking and I heard a clicking sound from his chest, very fast clicking and his whole body just became lame and I ran to the doctors room again and he said he will get oxygen but to no avail, our loving bird passed on.

I will not advise anyone to go visit those money wolves. They should not even be running a Vet, no feelings at all.
