Doesn't Care About its Customers

I secured the venue for my sister's baby shower more than two months in advance. However, when I got to the venue on the day, I was greatly disappointed. We were given dirty green office chairs to sit on. While every other group in the venue had decent garden chairs, as displayed on the images on their website. Had I known that the venue was providing us with office chairs for an afternoon tea out in the garden, I definitely would not have booked it. No one even explained to us before the event, or on the day, about the situation with the chairs. They treated us as though we were unimportant and had made a last minute booking.

The manager was a bit rude when we tried to address the matter and didn't seem to care about our complaint. Her reasoning was that the venue was full and they no longer had garden chairs available. She was not apologetic at all, she said that they gave us what they can as we weren't required to pay a venue hire fee. She made us feel as though she had done us a favor by hosting us at all.

Additionally, the presentation of the food was terrible for a high tea, menu misleading, as well as poor service from the waiters.

Buitengeluk is very selective about which customers they treat well and who they don't. I won't be returning to the venue again and I definitely will not be recommending it to anyone.
