Disappointing experience thanks to Britney Tarr!

**Extremely Disappointing Experience – Buitengeluk Broadacres**

I booked Buitengeluk Broadacres five months in advance for my sister's bridal shower, expecting a premium venue and professional service. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

Despite extensive email correspondence with the events coordinator, **Britney Tarr**, and arrangements agreed upon beforehand, key requirements were not met, including the agreed wooden tables for our farmers' market theme. The Glasshouse was still dirty when we arrived, and we had to request additional chairs and glasses.

The event was plagued by disorganisation and excessive delays. Starters arrived around 14:00, some guests waited until 16:00 for their main meals, and desserts only started arriving after 17:00. We were rushed to leave while still waiting for dessert and could not enjoy our planned painting activity.

To be fair, the waiters and supervisors on duty genuinely tried their best to assist and make up for the shortcomings. They appeared to be working with limited staff and kitchen capacity while the venue took on more events than it could adequately manage. This made it clear that booking five months in advance meant very little when our event was not properly prioritised or resourced.

**My greatest disappointment was the lack of accountability from Britney Tarr.** I was particularly upset to learn that she was at the venue during our function but did not come to address the problems or take ownership of the situation. Her subsequent response offered little meaningful accountability, instead referring to operational pressures and other staff members.

A bridal shower is a once-off, special occasion that cannot be recreated. We paid premium prices and invested months in planning, yet spent much of the celebration waiting for basic services. Sadly, the waiters and supervisors tried to salvage an experience that should have been properly planned and managed from the outset.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Buitengeluk Broadacres for special events. The venue's pricing and strict terms and conditions set high expectations, but the service and execution on the day fell far short of them.
