What a pathetic retailer

Builders Warehouse has seen the last of me. They are the most pathetic retailer imaginable. I will never again walk into one. After several instances of terrible service I made the huge mistake of giving them one more chance. Seeing another members post asking where to get an affordable dust mask and a member's reply with a link to a Evrigard Respirator at Builders Warehouse for R69 I decided to order it on line. I placed the order on 14 April (all this year). It was frustrating because the description did not say whether it included the filter cartridges, but guessing that it didn't and knowing I will need replacements in the future anyway, I ordered the Evrigard cartridges too. The description on the cartridges had no detail on the method of connection to the mask. I have kept a log of all my calls and emails and I will not bore you with the detail here. Suffice it to say the mask was supposed to be delivered to me on 18th April and I had to make5 phone calls before it was delivered om 2nd May. The cartridges and 2 other items I ordered were supposed to be delivered in a separate delivery on 28th April actually came on 25th April. On 3rd May their Customer Services called to see it I was satisfied and I said no because the filter cartridges did not have the bayonet connectors and could not be used with the mask. She promised to sort it out. Nothing happened. During another 9 calls between then and today I was told I the mask is an old style mask from their supplier and cartridges for it are no longer available. So they are knowingly selling an item that can't be used at all!!!! Also I should take the items to a store to sort it out. Since I have no car I would have to spend R100 on Uber fees to sort out their mistake. Also the mask was on special so I would have to pay in to get the latest type that can be used with filters I have. Just now I received a call back telling me they will have to charge me R150 to collect the mask. What the actual hell!!! That's that. I'm done with Builders Warehouse.
