Wasting customers time

Northriding - Electrical - I got a Weatherproof box ( ********** 152403) and the salesperson gave me according to him the matching socket ( ********** 900113). Although hesitant & looked at some other but they are all packaged, I accepted his explanation. When I unpacked the socket the only positive is that it does fit into the box, other than that the socket is not a suitable match at all. This includes when fitted it can not be detached because the *****s are covered with a clip-on cover which would have to be broken. The plug is in the wrong direction. I don't understand how BW can suggest this when it just going to be returned. Just doesn't make sense & don't understand the point & hopefully someone at BW can explain it.

Returned the item to Strubens this morning. Before going to Returns I asked to speak to a manager who immediately recognised that it was the incorrect socket. He accompanied me to Electrical, and was issued the correct socket. The same manager accompanied me to Returns and then I had to go to pay for the correct socket. This was time wasted for no valid reason and if you look at my history there have been previous complaints of a similar nature at Northriding branch.
