Waste of time and money

I bought a DSTV remote on Sunday, did not work as wrong model, my fault so took back on Monday, GREAT service from returns, then took me an hour to get help as to the correct one so as to buy what I needed (and I showed a photo of the working one at my house), gave me a remote and said it is now the right one so I took 2, get home and test and again the wrong remote! Now tomorrow I must go back again, every trip is 30-40km wasted and my time, I will agin be given a voucher at returns but now have no confidence in their sales knowledge!!!!!! So I will now go to DSTV themselves to buy but will have a Builders Warehouse credit voucher in my pocket, is this fair???? and my wasted time and fuel.
